Water is coming back

THE WATER IS COMMING BACK
The Wastewater Treatment Plant conducts the educational campaign "Water is comming back".

This campaign aims to change social attitudes, in the field of waste segregation.

Every month, 200 tonnes of unnecessary waste is discharged  into toilets including: personal hygiene items, bandages, expired drugs, toxic waste, used batteries and about a one ton of  the hygienic sticks.

Such loud, creates the need for cleaning and repairing the pumps in the treatment plant, sometimes even several times a day.

All failures caused by incoming garbage, generate several million costs for residents, who bear wastewater treatment plant costs.

The base of the campaign is an educational action, addressed to the youngest. Through education of children, the campaign goes to whole families, and consolidates pro-ecological attitudes.

Educational action is being carried out in schools, and is based on colourful folders, that are adapted to the needs of children. In addition, there is also a facebook action profile, and on the website www.wodawraca.pl you can play a flash educational game.

The information materials, stickers and pendants on handles, that are distributed in urban space also  remind where garbage should be collected.

We invite you to the website www.wodawraca.pl and to our fan page on FB.

In 2015, this action was supported by the Voivodship  Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Łódź, as part of the  project 'Water Returns - Ecological Education organized by the Wastewater  Treatment Plant of Łódź for the residents of Łódź, Pabianice and Konstantynów Łódzki', in the amount of 17 257,50 PLN.
