GOŚ ŁAM Sp. z o.o. (Wastewater Treatment Plant of Łodz) is the second largest wastewater treatment plants in Poland and one of the most modern.
GOŚ ŁAM treats wastewater from the area of Łódź, Pabianice, Konstantynów Łódzki, Nowosolna and Ksawerów.
The biological treatment process is based on the system called MUCT.
As a result, outlet wastewater quality parameters discharged to the Ner River meet all the requirements of European standards and most harmful biogenic compounds (i.e. nitrogen and phosphorus) are effectively reduced.
The company conducts advanced procedures of sludge recycling and disposal. The sludge, produced during a treatment process, is fermented to obtain biogas, which is used as fuel in production of electricity and heat. After fermentation, dewatered sludge is burned in the incineration plant.
GOŚ ŁAM has the Certificate of the Integrated Management System PN-EN ISO 9001: 2014 and PN-EN ISO 14001: 2005 covering both the process of wastewater treatment and sludge management as well as activities for environment protection.
The laboratory obtained the accreditation confirming the possibility of performing tests in accordance with PN-EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2005.
